All visitors to the Muskingum County Courthouse must enter through the Main Entrance and pass through security.

Planning Commission


The Muskingum County Planning Commission was formed in 2005 under Ohio Revised Code 713.22, by the Muskingum County Commissioners. The primary purpose of the Commission is to provide regulation for logical, sound, and economical development of the unincorporated portion of Muskingum County. Our regulations are applicable to any subdivision of property less than twenty acres within the unincorporated area of the county. The Planning Commission Office is located on the third floor of the Muskingum County Courthouse, 401 Main St., Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

Planning Commission Meetings held in the lower level Conference Room at the Zanesville Muskingum County Welcome Center 205 N 5th St, Zanesville Ohio 43701, the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 pm.

All applications must be received two weeks prior to meeting to be considered.
